Moon and Soyul become the first Korean idols to tie the knot
History was made on Thursday in Korea, where an announcement was made confirming the first-ever marriage between two K-pop idols, Moon Hee Jun from H.O.T and Soyul of Crayon Pop. The two are set to tie the knot at a ceremony next February. Who knew it would take so long for two idols to marry each other?
Surprisingly, no two K-pop idols have ever gotten married to each other, despite a number of high-profile relationships. Whether it's the fame, lifestyle, pressure, or things just not working out, no K-pop romance has come as far it has for Moon Hee Jun and Soyul, whose agencies confirmed that the two had been dating for seven months, and were preparing to get married next February. Some, however, claim that the romance between the two idols actually started longer than seven months ago, that it all goes back to 2013, when the two met for the first time on a TV show hosted by Moon. Since then, Moon has dropped hints about their relationship, maybe without even realizing it, by talking about Soyul on shows and revealing information about her that only someone close to her would know. Either way, it's not a secret anymore, and the couple with the 13-year age difference are officially getting hitched.
All the best to Korea's first-ever K-pop idol married couple, and also, best wishes to Soyul, who has been taking a break from public view for the last month to treat an anxiety disorder. Hope she feels better.
Congratulations to both!
