[caption id="attachment_15932" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Actress Moon Geun Young"][/caption] Beginning next month, popular actress Moon Geun Young will take to the theater stage when she stars in the play “Closer” along side actor Um Ki Joon. The play is one of many in the I Love the Stage: Play Festival 2010 being held in the Daehang-ro area of Seoul, South Korea and will run for two months. The Patrick Marber play has been in production since 1997 in over 100 cities and in 30 different languages and revolves around the lives of four young men and women exploring the boundaries of love, sex and relationships. The story has caught the attention of many young fans due to it's film US adaptation back in 2004. For the Seoul production, Moon will be taking on the lead female role of Alice, made famous by Natalie Portman and  Um Ki Joon steps into the lead male role of Dan, notably played by Jude Law. Ten years ago, Moon Geun Young captured the hearts of fans in her debut with the Kdrama Autumn in My Heart, and since then, she has appeared in the popular movies A Tale of Two Sisters, My Little Bride, and Love Me Not. Her ever increasing star shined bright when she made her return to Kdrama in The Painter of the Wind (2008) and the DramaFever fan favorite Cinderella's Sister (2010). He has also appeared in Kdramas, movies and variety shows such as Hero, Kimchi Cheese Smile, Good Job Good Job, and Man of Vendetta. With the experience and skills of these two young actors, Closer will definitely be a breath of fresh air for Kdrama fans as there is nothing more delightful than watching a live play! I think theater buffs will also enjoy watching Moon Geun Young give such a dramatic performance. For more info on other plays presented during the nine month festival, visit www.stage2010.com!
