New and Coming Soon March 16 to March 22
This week we were treated to a powerful award-winning movie based on a true story about one man's fight for civil liberty. Next week there's a new Taiwanese romantic comedy about young love and the sacrifices we make for it. Let's take a look!
1. The Attorney
Armed with only a high school diploma, Song Woo Seok (Song Kang Ho) manages to pass the bar exam in Busan, where he sets up shop as an unsavory tax lawyer. Driven only to make money, Woo Seok takes on unfavorable cases rejected by prestigious colleagues and eventually builds a lucrative practice, but when an intense civil liberties case falls on his desk, Woo Seok must decide whether he's got what it takes to fight for what's right. Will justice prevail, or is this hack lawyer in over his head?
When Tang Jia Ni (Ruby Lin) catches her boyfriend cheating, Fang Wei De (Leroy Young) helps concoct a plan for payback. However, when the innocent prank turns into real romance, Jia Ni and Wei Di realize they're destined to be together — until a tragedy leaves Jia Ni's friend Wang Jun Jie (Melvin Sia) disabled, compelling her to marry him out of pity. Nearly a decade later, Jia Ni and Wei De are forced to choose between their commitments and a second chance at fated love. Will they take the leap?
