New and Coming Soon to DramaFever October 12 to October 18
This week we saw an adorable new high school K-drama, a stunning new Korean historical drama, a new coming-of-age Korean show, and a great K-pop concert! Next week we will be getting a mysterious Korean romantic comedy, an intriguing Chinese historical drama, a movie starring Rain, and another great concert featuring the YG K-pop family! Let's take a look!
1. Cheer Up
Set against the backdrop of an incredibly competitive high school, a group of students find solace in cheerleading club. Along with the social and romantic trials of adolescence, this unlikely group of cheerleaders smile in the face of unreasonable academic expectations.
Though King Taejo is historically credited for establishing the Joseon Dynasty, his son Lee Bang Won (Yoo Ah In) was instrumental to his success. As the fledgling nation hangs in the balance, Bang Won — who later ascends the throne as the third king of the Joseon Dynasty — struggles to strike a critical balance between two warring factions.
Yoon Tae Oh (Choi Min Ho) is a free-spirited college freshman who hosts his rooftop as a hideout of sorts for his five friends. Amongst this diverse group is his childhood friend, Han Song Yi (Park So Dam). As Tae Oh starts to fall for Song Yi, another friend, Seo Ji An (Kim Min Jae) starts to develop feelings for Song Yi as well. Will this love triangle be the downfall of an otherwise perfect group?
BIGBANG's first international concert tour has the 5-member group traveling throughout South Korea, Thailand, and Japan in 2008.
Although Nam Sang Hyo (Yoo In Na) is the successful head of wedding planning at Korea's top wedding destination, she dreams of one day becoming the general manager of the sterling Secret Hotel. But nothing has her prepared for her next client: Koo Hae Young (Jin Yi Han), her ex-husband, whom she shared a brief marriage with. As if that weren't enough drama, a sudden murder throws the hotel into chaos, with mysterious ties to Sang Hyo's charming hotelier boss. What other secrets does this hotel hold?
2. King Maker
Song dynasty's first prince Kwai Sing (Ngo Ka-nin) and second prince Kwai Wo (Lai Lok-yi) greedily compete for the throne. Yu Jing (Wayne Lai) and Tung Chiu (Kent Cheng) are responsible in advising each prince. Jing and Chiu are old family friends, having a mentor-friend relationship. Jing's father Yu Pok Man (KK Cheung) brought trouble to the family when his achievements made his advisor feel uneasy. Since then, Jing was separated from his younger brother Yu Tsing (Patrick Tang) and sister Yu Ching (Natalie Tong). Tsing was deceived into becoming an imperial eunuch, while Ching loses her memory, but fortunately triad leader Fan Chiu Lun (Shek Sau) adopts her and triad member Yim Sam Leung (Kristal Tin) takes care of her.Big villain Yeung Chi San (Joseph Lee) and his sister Consort Wai cause much trouble to get Kwai Wo the throne instead. But, perhaps San and Wai are not the only villains, and there are many others that are much more evil...(Source)

After performing a reckless maneuver during a civilian air show, Captain Jung Tae Yoon (Rain) is demoted to the 21st Fighter Wing, which is under the command of fellow top gun Major Lee Cheol Hee (Yoo Jun Sang). However, while the two air force pilots are busy sizing each other up with a combination of mutual dislike and respect, they quickly find themselves mired in the midst of a nuclear drama between North and South Korea. Faced with a dire rescue mission, can Tae Yoon and Cheol Hee set aside their differences and share the glory?
