This week we saw a dramatic Korean daily drama, two classic shows from the BBC, a funny and touching hit Korean film, and a documentary about one of K-pop's hottest groups. Next week, we have a followup documentary about BIGBANG, a cute Korean romantic comedy based on a popular webtoon, and a thrilling Chinese family saga. Let's take a look!


1.Love & Secret

Starring Shin So Yool, Kim Heung Soo, and Yang Jin Woo

3. Sharpe's Challenge (movie)

Starring Sean Bean and Padma Lakshmi

Based on the popular Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell, Sharpe's Challenge follows Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean) on assignment to India, where he must rescue the daughter of a general from her kidnappers. Surrounded by danger, including the conniving and seductive Madhuvanthi (Padma Lakshmi), Sharpe faces his greatest challenge yet.

4. Miss Granny (movie)

Starring Shim Eun Kyung and Na Moon Hee

74-year-old Oh Mal Soon (Na Moon Hee) is a bitter widow that lives with her son, but when her daughter-in-law collapses, Mal Soon is determined to be the cause of her emotional and mental exhaustion. Before being shuttled off to a nursing home, Mal Soon stumbles upon a photobooth, where she laments her life's regrets, but when she emerges from the photobooth, she discovers she’s turned back to her 20-year-old self. Blessed with another shot at life, will Mal Soon make the right choices?

5. Big Bang: The Beginning

This one's a must-see for Big Bang fans! Go all the way back to the beginning with Big Bang in this documentary. Meet the members before their debut, learn about the original sixth member (BEAST's Hyunseung), and enjoy the throwback fashion from before Big Bang became the superstars we know and love today.

Starring Sung Hoon and Kim Jae Kyung

3. Growing Through Life

HOI SING (Raymond Lam) and his mother HO WAI-SUM (Lui Yau Wai) have been running a domestic appliance manufacturing factory. SING’s uncle HOI LEUNG (Lau Chung Yan) is a money-minded snob who has been seeking to acquire the factory by whatever means. LEUNG’s wife CHENG MING-CHU (Cecilia Yip) and daughter HOI MEI-SZ (Toby Leung) try to intercede for SING and finally manages to convince the man to put the acquisition on hold. Eager to covet the plant site, LEUNG has placed a spy FONG LAI-KING (Zhao Ziqi) in the factory to wreak havoc. SING invites his friend CHUNG LAM-TAI (Bosco Wong) to join his factory so that he no longer has to fight alone for the family business. But who would have thought that TAI is in no sense a blessing but just a wolf in sheep’s clothing? SING gets betrayed by TAI, and worse than that, his fianc?e CHUK YIU-KWAN (Song Wenfei) asks to cancel the wedding all of a sudden.
