New from Japan: The Lettuce Umbrella
Let's face it, umbrellas look dumb. They're wet, they drip, they're totally gross. Wouldn't you rather be seen carrying around a fresh bunch of healthy lettuce? One umbrella shop in Tokyo has devised a creative solution for people who want to project a health-conscious image and stay dry at the same time. The "Vegetabrella" looks like a bunch of romaine lettuce when you're not using it, and then unfolds to a beautiful umbrella with delicate crepe texture. And it's a hit! The store reports that they've sold out, but are getting more in every day. Want it? The vegetabrella sells for about $50 USD. And they ship overseas.
