New Sailor Moon series set to air across the world in July 2014
For Sailor Moon fans the wait is finally over. After much discussion, the mega popular anime is returning in style in July of this year, according to the show's 20th anniversary website. The show will be available all across the world and subtitled in ten different languages.
Another amazing tidbit about the show's release is that it will be streamed on the Niconico service, which is similar to YouTube. The series will be directed by Munehisa Sakai and the music is by pop group Momoiro Clover Z.
The producer of the series, Atsutoshi Umezawa, mentioned in a press release that the July Sailor Moon will be a show that does not stray too far from the original manga. "This second anime adaptation of Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon is not remaking the previous anime, but adapting [Naoko Takeuchi's] original manga and starting from scratch again. It is quite a project. The entire staff has been working hard to show everyone an entirely new Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon, so please look forward to it," Atsutoshi Umezawa said.
