NYC close to getting first ever dog cafe
Since 2001, the Bau House in Seoul, South Korea has perfected the art of combining a relaxed cafe atmosphere with adorable, friendly dogs. And now friends Maggie Chan and Mandy Chow are looking to bring a similar style dog cafe to New York City.
The friends have started an IndieGogo campaign to raise $70,000 for the prospective puppy cafe.
The duo is looking for a roughly 2,000-square-foot space in Manhattan that will include an area for a playground. All the dogs in the cafe will be up for adoption as the friends will enlist the help of local shelters.

As of now, the friends are well short of their fundraising goal, but are optimistic that they will secure the money through investors if they don't reach $70,000.
