Only in Japan: Pepsi-flavored Cheetos
Pepsi and Cheetos met, had a baby, and named him “Frito Lay Cheetos x Pepsi Shuwa Shuwa Cola Corn Snack.”
Only in Japan, you can now buy Cheetos that are flavored like Pepsi. Why you would want to buy such a thing is beyond me, but I guess it’s better than shoving a handful of Cheetos in your mouth and then taking a big gulp of Pepsi at the same time. However doing that might actually taste better than buying a bag of these flavored Cheetos.
According to one person who tried them, they not only fizz in your mouth, but they taste very “lemony.” Does Pepsi have lemon flavors in it? I’ve never tasted lemon in Pepsi before. In fact, is the "lemony" flavor just an cover to get consumers to lower their salt intake?! Apparently some people are reading real deep into the creation of this snack saying it's citrus flavor is just a ploy to sway consumers away from the traditional salty and savory taste of most snacks, and create a new "taste preference." Ok? Like who even cares? I'm pretty sure if you're grabbing a bag of Pepsi flavored Cheetos it's nutritional content is the farthest thing from your mind. Also I personally would be pretty shocked and annoyed that my Cheetos tasted more like a lemon rind instead of a can of Pepsi. Some people really do tend to over think things o_0.
Currently there are no plans to bring the hybrid cheese snack to the United States, but if you’re beyond curious to try it you can order yourself a bag HERE.
