Panda bear recovers from depression by watching TV
I mean, let's be honest, we've all been sad before only to be cured by watching a favorite TV show or movie. That's a pretty common story, but the difference between us and one recovering depression patient in China is that we are not pandas.
Panda Sijia who lives in the Yunnan Wildlife Park in China was recently treated for symptoms of depression. The panda became listless and sad after his partner Meiqian returned to the Sichuan Province. Sijia started to refuse food and so park officials installed a swing and a LCD television that broadcast images of the two friends playing in hopes to raise the panda's spirits. Park employees also frequently visited the animal to try and boast his happiness. Visitors were recently given the chance to take pictures of the renewed panda.
