The internet can be a malicious place for Korean stars, but Park Hae Jin has taken the vicious words of his anti-fans and turned them into something positive. For the third year in a row, the actor is doing volunteer work with online trolls.

On October 5, Park's agency revealed that he will join forces with his anti-fans and fans alike to deliver coal briquettes to the 152 residents living in Guryong Village. He will also donate approximately 50 million won (~43,000 USD) in other winter necessities.

This is the third year running that Park has volunteered in the village with his online opponents. He began the tradition in 2013 when netizens left hurtful comments stating that he was trying to avoid military service, when, in reality, he received an exemption for his serous depression.

When people made malicious comments about him and his family members, he decided to sue them. For those who apologized, he offered to drop the suit if they would join him for community service. Many of them decided to do so, and he has continued the annual volunteer work every fall.
