Hwarang: The Beginning actor Park Seo Joon got his neck injured today. The actor plans to stay in the hospital over the weekend and return to the filming location on Monday.

"(Park Seo Joon) got his neck injured while filming an action scene in the drama. Fortunately, he wasn't injured badly. We think he could return to the filming location on Monday," the actor's agency said.

This isn't the first time a Hwarang actor has been injured, according to reports. On April 12, Go Ah Ra got her hand bitten by a horse. She was treated immediately.

Last Friday, Hwarang actors had the first script reading meeting, where She Was Pretty actor Park Seo Joon breathed his character Moo Myeong to life, and Park Hyung Sik (ZE:A) successfully played the serious and boisterous king Jinheung.

In Hwarang, a group of Hwarangs (elite young knights) get to know each other and fight for their kingdom of Silla. Flower boys like Park Seo Joon, Park Hyung Suk, Choi Minho (SHINee), Do Ji Han, Jo Yoon Woo and Kim Tae Hyung (BTS's V) will play Hwarangs. In addition, Running Man's Lee Kwang Soo will make a surprise appearance.

The whole drama will be pre-produced, and the drama will air in the second half of 2016. The Hwarang team started filming the drama on March 30, and plans to wrap it up in August.

We hope the neck injury is nothing serious and Park Seo Joon can return to the filming location on Monday. Get well soon, oppa!
