After a nearly three-year hiatus from Korean dramas, Park Shi Hoo has confirmed his comeback with OCN's upcoming spy series Neighborhood Hero.

Park Shi Hoo's last K-drama was Cheongdamdong Alice, which finished its run early in 2013. In February 2103, the actor faced allegations of rape, which were eventually settled out of court. Since that time, Park has mostly been active in China, and his only Korean work was a movie with Yoon Eun Hye that has been filmed, but not released yet.

The actor will be making his comeback on cable network OCN in the thriller Neighborhood Hero. The series will follow a former black ops agent who lives his life quietly running a bar in a small town. When trouble comes to his neighborhood, he mentors and trains a young wannabe police officer. Together, they protect their beloved town from danger. According to the series description, the drama will blend action and suspense with the close-knit feel of neighborhood life.

This series will be written by Kim Gwan Hoo and directed by Kwak Jung Hwan (ChunoRunaway Plan B). It is planned for release in 2016.
