Park Shin Hye, Jo Jung Suk and Exo's D.O open up about their upcoming film Hyung
If you're a DramaFever addict, we are pretty sure you watched all of Doctor Crush, starring Park Shin Hye, and are currently obsessing over Jo Jung Suk, who stars in Jealousy Incarnate. What if we told you that the two powerhouse talents are coming together in a brand new film called Hyung? And topping off that happy trio is It's Okay, That's Love's cuteheart D.O. Excited? Us too!
The film is about Doo Sik (Jo Jung Suk), who gets paroled from prison when his younger brother Doo Young (Do Kyung Soo), who's a promising judo athlete, gets injured in a match. After 15 years, Doo Sik suddenly appears in front of Doo Young and lives with him. The two have contrasting personalities, which eventually leads to unexpected and hilarious situations. Add to the mix Lee Soo Hyun (Park Shin Hye), the nosy judo coach of Doo Young, who is forced to deal with the contentious brothers. Sounds so fun, right? Here's what the three characters had to say about their roles in the film:
Jo Jung Suk, who plays the swindling thief and older brother Go Doo Sik, said, "You must realize after watching the trailer, but I'm a horrible swindler with 10 violations of the law on my criminal record from fraud. This isn't like my actual personality, so I had a hard time while filming." The actor, who currently plays a self-obsessed journalist in Jealousy Incarnate, also added that, "There's a significant age difference between Go Doo Sik and his younger brother Doo Young. I try to sell my younger brother to get rich, but it doesn't work out in my favor, so it was fun." Woah! Did he just say he tried to sell his brother? Let's see what D.O has to say about that.
"I'm the popular national team athlete Go Doo Young. On the outside, I seem strong and proud, but on the inside, I have a soft and innocent side," said D.O. He also added that he relates to the character and thinks its a little bit like his real personality.
Finally, Park Shin He plays Go Doo Young's coach, and had this to say about her role, "I'm the national judo athlete Go Doo Young's coach. When it comes to being nosy and butting in, I'm the national athlete. To help Doo Young with his athletic career, I clean his house and cook for him. But when his swindler hyung shows up, I start bickering with him."
Sounds like a must-watch. Watch this space for more Hyung-related updates!
