Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival kicks off today
The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival finally kicks off today, Friday, Oct 9th at 7pm with the Sundance sensation Children of Invention. The cast and crew will be in attendance. Following the screening will be an Opening Night Party.
On Saturday, check out the FREE event "A Conversation with Aaron Yoo", the co-star of Disturbia and 21, moderated by 6ABC's Nydia Han at 2pm. There are also a number of great films throughout the weekend at both the International House (37th & Chestnut) and the Asian Arts Initiative (12th & Vine).
Saturday night's centerpiece film is the political thriller Formosa Betrayed starring James Van Der Beek at 8pm at International House followed by a free afterparty at Sumo (12th & Sansom).On Sunday, closing night will feature the Korean film Story of Wine (written and directed by Lee Cheol Ha) followed by a FREE Wine party featuring hors d'oeuvres from Stephen Starr's "El Vez".
