Photographer captures Japan's rebellious alley cats in their natural state
French photographer Alexandre Bonnefoy recently traveled all over Japan documenting some of the country's alley cats. The striking images capture the furry felines in their most rebellious form and show the alley cat's rough and tough nature.
The insightful photographer compiled all the images into a colorful book called Neko Land, and it is available for around $36. Many of the photos are in the more hidden places of Japan like alleyways and garbage sites. Bonnefoy travled all over the country, making stops in cities like Hokkaido and Okinawa.
I have to say that even the most tattered alley cat still manages to look pretty cute, and I just hope that these furry friends find a home soon.
