Policeman forces junior officers to binge on donuts as form of punishment
The stereotype of police officers choosing to eat a lot of doughnuts and burgers is supposed to only exist in movies and television, but unfortunately this was not true for one unit of officers in Osaka, Japan. Their senior officer had to resign after it was discovered that he regularly punished his subordinates by making them eat large amounts of fast food.
The sergeant ordered junior officers to eat 15 doughnuts, 15 burgers, and four huge cups of instant fried noodles in one sitting. The food then had to be washed down with three to four big cups of coffee-flavored milk.
The young officers were in their 20's and 30's, and were said to be punished because they had not been performing up to standards. From 2010 until the end of 2013, this binge eating punishment is said to have happened 10 times. It was reported that the sergeant who forced the unhealthy eating resigned on Christmas Day.
