Rain is excited to play a sexy, evil killer in Hollywood movie 'The Prince'
Shortly after the official posters and trailer for upcoming star-studded Hollywood mobster film The Prince (2014) were released last week, Korean entertainer Rain (a.k.a. Jung Ji Hoon) tweeted about his experience and the supporting role he plays in the movie, "Mark."
This is Rain's second time playing a skillful killer on the big screen. But, with his Ninja Assassin character, "Raizo," fighting the bad guys, this is his first time going to "the dark side," so to speak.
On June 28, he shared his excitement on his Twitter account about playing a "sexy, evil killer" for the first time, and said that though it is a small part, he gave it his all. He humbly promised to put his best foot forward when it comes to all roles he plays in the future, and hopes movie-goers and his fans continue to enjoy his work.
He also tweeted one of the movie's official posters.
What's the movie all about? In one corner, we have mob boss "Omar" (Bruce Willis) and his right-hand man, assassin "Mark" (Rain). In the opposite corner, we have former gangster "Paul" (Jason Patric) and his friend "Sam" (John Cusack). Some 20 years earlier, Omar's wife and child were mistakenly murdered by Paul, so you know what comes next -- revenge on Paul and his daughter.
According to YAHOO! Movies, "A retired assassin is drawn back into the life he gave up when his daughter is kidnapped. To rescue her, he must confront his former rival."
The R-rated ensemble action thriller was directed by Bryan A. Miller and filmed on location mostly in Mobile, Alabama with a budget in the neighborhood of $20 million USD. It is being distributed by Hannibal Classics, Lionsgate, and Grindstone, in addition to a host of international entertainment companies, and also stars Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Gia Mantegna, and Jessica Lowndes.

If Rain's chameleon-like abilities and sexy intensity in past roles (not to mention the official posters floating around) are any indication, his fans are in for a smoldering adrenalin rush.
The Prince hits theater screens first in the U.S. on August 22, and will continue its journey around the world from there. Are you ready?
