Ramen truck crashes, shuts down highway for over six hours
A tractor-trailer hauling a load of ramen noodles crashed earlier today near Rocky Mount, North Carolina, closing southbound lanes of I-95 for over six hours.
The accident happened around 4 a.m. this morning when the driver became drowsy at the wheel. He tried to make it to the next rest stop, but he fell asleep and crashed into a bridge support. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed in the accident, but the tractor-trailer broke apart, scattering noodle packets all over the highway. The massive clean-up project took hours to complete, blocking off the entire highway for hours.
Unfortunately for any drama fans who would be thrilled to take some spilled ramen off of their hands, all of the ramen had to be taken to a local landfill because it had been exposed to diesel fuel.
