Rejected by 24 beauties on dating show, this man is now a millionaire
Is life imitating art again? Many dramas have portrayed characters who rise from rags to riches, sometimes for revenge and other times for finding true love. We now have a real life story to share with you about a man who was once rejected on a dating show on national TV, and he has come back a multi-millionaire.
Chinese dating show, If You Are the One, has been extremely popular on national TV ever since its debut in 2010. It is also popular among international viewers through its international broadcasts.
The basic premise has two rounds for a bachelor, who first has to get at least 2 of the 24 women on stage to turn on lights for him. He then selects 2 finalists, if there are more than 2 women who lit up for him, and decides which one he'll date with.
Of course, there are times when a man doesn't even pass the first round.
Three years ago, a Mr. Chan Jing-Yang participated in the famous dating show.
Unfortunately for him, none of the 24 women on stage lit up the light for him.
It was a resounding rejection!
He dejectedly walked off the stage.
Three year later, a Hong Kong news report has revealed that Mr. Chan is now an investment fund manager who is worth millions of dollars.
The news has gone viral in Chinese-language media. There is no definitive confirmation from Mr. Chan yet at this time. But, if the report checks out, do you think those 24 women will feel regrets? Of course we don't know the specific reasons why those women rejected him. But, wouldn't you agree a millionaire usually gets a second look?
Aaron plays Ji Wen Kai, who was the bottom-ranked student in his high school class. He was even nicknamed "Zero Duck Egg" for his consistent poor grades. Ten years later, he returns as a CEO and the new boss to Zhong Yu Tang, played by Joanne.
It turns out that Zhong Yu Tang was the top student in high school and was quite bossy toward Ji Wen Kai. Now, the first thing the new CEO does is to demote her to the worst department in the company. A hilarious romcom story begins.
I'd be curious about how it turns out. How about you?
Have you ever rejected someone but later regretted it because he or she is now wealthy?
