Dadawa is the stage name of Zhu Zheqin, an internationally acclaimed Chinese singer/songwriter from Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. She has been referred to as the "Chinese Enya." She was featured on NPR a few years back, describing her mission to help preserve minority music and her time serving as the Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program.
Dadawa was reported missing with her crew on Mount Everest while filming a music video. Her manager sent out an alert on Weibo that there has been a snow storm and all members of her staff have been out of contact. Reports state that they have been stuck for more than ten hours.
