Retro game arcade now offers wedding services
For many couples about to tie the knot, a lot of thought gets put into where to get married. The pristine beaches of Mexico or Hawaii, for example, are popular wedding locations. In Japan, there is a truly amazing location for a wedding, but couples aren't flocking there yet.
If a man wants to surprise his sweetheart with the perfect wedding location, he need look no further than Takada-no-Baba in Tokyo, Japan. A retro game arcade has announced on twitter that they are offering a wedding service. Mikado, a popular game arcade fitted with retro games from the 80's and 90's, wants to marry couples inside the establishment. Apparently, game arcades aren't doing that well in terms of profit anymore, so this is thought to be Mikado's way of generating some extra revenue. This comes as no surprise to many, as Mikado is known for having many events on weekends. They have famous gamers come in for game tournaments, or have paper-rock-scissor competitions to win prizes or game-time. The games inside the arcade are so old, and the whole place has such a retro feel to it, that it's become somewhat of a tourist destination.
So how many couples have taken advantage of this amazing wedding offer, you ask? So far, none. But there's probably some couple out there right now planning out their wedding as we speak. And the bride-to-be is sure to be asking, "Can we please get married at Mikado? It's been a dream of mine to get married in a game arcade. It's so romantic!"
