Running Man joins a host of other shows taking a break this week.

The 2018 PyeongChang Olympics' opening ceremony takes place this Friday, February 9, and the major television networks in South Korea are making room in their weekly schedules to air the special event and opening games. From Friday through Sunday the following shows with be cancelled on KBS, MBC and SBS: Music Bank, My Golden Life, Music Core, The Return of Superman, Man Who Sets the Table (only episode 44), The Music Trend (aka Inkigayo) and Running Man. So far, the shows are only cancelled for this weekend, but the networks promise to let viewers know if anything changes.

This news comes a month after MBC announced that they would postpone programming until March because of the winter games. South Korea has been given the honor of hosting the prestigious Olympics this year, and they are showing their gratitude by broadcasting it all over the country.

Hopefully, Running Man and the others will return to their regular schedule soon. The 2018 PyeongChang Olympics will run through February 25.
