Sailor Moon stars in TV commercial for new Japanese energy drink for working women
Sailor Moon is definitely one of Japan's biggest anime stars, and she has a very large and loyal female fan base, for very obvious reasons. To capitalize on this very fact, one of Japan's largest pharmaceutical companies joined forces with the iconic character to sell its special line of popular energy drinks, one created specifically for the working woman.
Chocola BB is a Japanese multi-purpose vitamin supplement, which comes in pill and/or liquid form, loaded with essential vitamins and nutrients. Not only does this product give you a boost of energy, but it's also known to clear acne and smooth out roughened skin. Just recently, pharmaceutical giant Eisai came out with a renewal line of "Chocola BB Joma," a drink version of the supplement created especially for women at the workplace. To go along with this campaign, Eisai is offering various prizes, including an original illustration signed by Usagi Tsukino voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi, a limited edition compact mirror, original design cards, and makeup accessories.
"On behalf of the Moon, we're recommending this to you!" says Sailor Moon in one of the ads. And on behalf of the Moon, her female fans are buying what she's selling, and they're fighting through another day at the office.
