Put on your fancy pants and get your playbill because the beloved Anime Sailor Moon is headed for the stage! Sailor Moon and the rest of the Sailor Scouts will be “fighting evil by moonlight” on stage this September in Japan. The theater production is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon! This isn’t the first time Sailor Moon has been turned into a theater production; eight years ago, it was a stage play as well. To make things even more interesting, the entire cast is female, including “Tuxedo Mask” -- the love interest of Sailor Moon.

I used to watch this show every morning when I was little getting ready for school. I loved it so much and I remember it would always stop when Tuxedo Mask learned Sailor Moon was Serena and something about a future kid they were having. The show would always restart to the first episode and I NEVER found out what happened! I’ve heard it’s since continued but oh well, too little too late, I’m no longer interested (-_-).

If you’re lucky enough to be in Tokyo this fall check out the play which will run starting September 13th through the 23rd at Shibuya's AiiA Theater.
