SHOCKING: Video of Japanese volleyball coach beating player goes viral
A video of a high school volleyball coach in Japan viciously slapping one of his students has gone viral in less than three days. The YouTube clip that was posted on Sunday and as of Wednesday has almost two million hits, shows a teacher at Hamamatsu Bittai Senior High School in Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan, slapping a student's face an insane 13 times in 16 seconds.
While hitting the student, the video shows the teacher yelling, "Don't joke around, kid! Do you understand! You're stupid!" The high school has confirmed the video and the teacher has said of the incident, "I wanted to shake him up, but I went about it the wrong way." The video is particularly controversial because Tokyo was recently awarded the 2020 Summer Olympics and Japan has a history of coaches abusing their players. Students at the high school are typically 16 and 17 years old.
