So Ji Sub films cameo for the the Hong sisters' Jeju Island Gatsby premiere
Jeju Island Gatsby (aka Warm and Cozy) is coming exclusively to DramaFever on May 13! Become a fan of the series HERE to receive new episode alerts.
So Ji Sub's last drama project was The Master's Sun, which was also the last drama from Jeju Island Gatsby writers Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran. Because he has a close relationship with the show writers, he readily agreed to make appearances in the first two episodes of the show.
Of course, this news leaves fans wondering if he will make his cameo in character as Joo Joong Won, the memorable shopping mall owner from The Master's Sun. I could see it fitting in with the storyline, especially since the second male lead (Lee Sung Jae) is the owner of a hotel, so the two probably hang out in the same imaginary wealthy playboy circles, right?
It wouldn't be the first time that the Hong sisters included past stars as guests in new shows. For example, Lee Hong Ki and Park Shin Hye appeared as their You're Beautiful characters in My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho, and UEE also made a cameo, though she wasn't in character. Then, of course, there was the absolutely hilarious cameo where Lee Seung Gi showed up as himself in Greatest Love.
Regardless of what character he's playing, it will be nice to see So Ji Sub on our screens again, even if it's just a cameo! The premiere episode with his first appearance will air exclusively on DramaFever on May 13. You can see the latest trailer for the series below:
