Song Joong Ki soars as the new face of Jeju Air
Another endorsement deal has been signed by megastar Song Joong Ki, this time to be the new face of Jeju Air, a low-cost airline based on the island of Jejudo in South Korea.
In hopes of attracting more visitors, and more specifically tourists from China and South Asia, Jeju Air has announced that Song Joong Ki will appear in international online and offline print and television commercials for the coming year, due to the popularity of Descendants of the Sun all over Asia. Usually operating flights to 6 different cities in China, routes are now being increased to 20 routes and 10 cities in both China and Macao during peak seasons when demand is at its highest. Established in 2005, Jeju Air's value as a dependent budget carrier has been constantly on the rise, with sales increasing fourfold to 608 billion won in the last 6 years, continuously expanding the number of planes in their fleet.
And now, with Song Joong Ki on board, Jeju Air is looking to soar even higher.
