Starbucks to start offering beer and wine
It's about time someone could walk into a Starbucks and say, "Two coffees, ten beers please." A new Starbucks coffee shop located in the hip Tokyo neighborhood of Shimokitazawa will be selling wine and beer to customers after noon. The beer and wine will run about 650 yen per glass and is part of Starbucks' new campaign to offer its customers a unique coffee shop experience.
Another distinct aspect of this Tokyo store is that employees are allowed to wear their own clothes instead of the typical Starbucks uniforms. The large store has enough room for roughly 42 people and is open until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and until 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday.
