Stranger than Fiction: Crows in Japan use traffic to crack walnuts open for them
Most wild animals are confined to a diet that's limited by their physical capabilities, but, like humans, these very intelligent crows have innovated a way to eat something they usually can't access on their own. Crows in Japan have been using human car traffic to crack open walnuts. And they even devised a special way to avoid traffic when it comes time to gather the nuts.

I was already impressed that they figured out how to use traffic to open the nuts, but the way they use crosswalks to gather them in safety truly astounded me! Next time someone tells you that you have a bird brain, make sure to thank them!
