Dance is a celebration of movement, and China has had much to celebrate in the past 60 years. Recently, Chinese photographers gathered images together to show a history of the evolution of dance in China.

During the 1950s, Chinese people danced for their appreciation of a new life, but even though time has passed, modern photos still capture a similar theme of celebration. With technological advancements and an increase in access to information, the meaning of dance has grown to one of freedom of expression for the Chinese people. You can see this just by looking at some of the faces and bodies in the images.
