To illustrate just how much South Korea has advanced into a stunning modern city, photographer Sungseok Ahn traveled around the country projecting old black and white photographs of the city against the modern landscape. The project brilliantly contrasts the old images against the new backgrounds.

The project was in no way photoshopped as Sungseok Ahn diligently went around the country with a laptop and a projector at various landmarks in the country. What makes the project even more mesmerizing is that all of the pictures were taken at dusk or dawn giving each photo an ethereal otherworldly feel. The photographer also mentioned that the project helped her gain a new and welcomed perspective of the country.
