Japan Society, in New York City, is hosting a delicious event this Thursday with chef Tadashi Ono of Matsuri restaurant and food writer Harris Salat. The duo has co-authored of a new cookbook, The Japanese Grill
, a celebration of Japanese live-fire cooking. Ono and Salat will talk about how the American-style of grilling steaks, chops, chicken and fish fits perfectly with Japanese ingredients like miso, soy sauce and little-known condiment called yuzu kosho. There will be a demonstration of simple, delectable marinades the audience can make themselves easily at home. The event will include a tasting reception and book signing.
