Dragon Blade, the action epic starring Jackie Chan and Super Junior's Choi Siwon, along with an international cast including John Cusack, Adrian Brody, and Feng Shao Feng (Prince of Lan Ling), is going to premiere in China on February 19 for the start of the Lunar New Year. Check out the movie stills and new trailer.

The epic movie started filming in April 2014, and it is finally going to be released. Dragon Blade tells the story of a Han-dynasty general (Jackie Chan) who joins forces with a Roman general (John Cusack) to battle against common enemies to protect the Silk Road. The story is inspired by the mysterious legend that claims a Chinese city near China's northern border was inhabited by descendants of the Roman Empire's soldiers.

The star-studded international cast includes Jackie Chan, Choi Siwon, Adrian Brody, John Cusack, Feng Shao Feng (William Feng), Amanda Wang, Lin Peng, and more. With a huge budget of $64 million in US dollars, Dragon Blade is one of the most expensive movies made in China, and it was filmed on location in the Gobi Desert and the historic city of Dunhuang. The filming was grueling because of the extreme climates. It's interesting to note that because of the cast and crew that numbered more than 700 people from different countries or regions, over a dozen languages were used to communicate at times.

Here is the trailer:

This movie sounds very interesting for its unique story and the rarely seen locations where the filming took place. After its release in China, it will also premiere in South Korea on March 12. I hope it will be shown in North America too, or maybe even on DramaFever? I can always hope, right?
