A wedding is a celebratory occasion to the attendees, but it can also be very stressful to the wedding couple, especially when the bride is trying to set a new Guinness world record for the longest wedding veil. A bride in Taiwan has just achieved that amazing feat. Take a look at these stunning photos.

On December 10, a bride in Taiwan received a most memorable gift from her father for wedding. She wore a veil that measured 6,067 meters (or 3.77 miles) long.

Representatives from the Guinness World Records were at the wedding to witness the world's longest wedding veil. The bride received the certificate to prove her amazing achievement.

The veil took a team of six tailors and three months to stitch at the couture brand Enzoani that is famous for hand-crafted bridal collections. It further took 560 people to help hold up the veil, which unfolded along the local Chishang township's scenic sites, literally for miles.

In the news video, the bride said she originally commissioned the veil for 5,209.9 meters, which sounds similar in Chinese for "I love you forever." However, the rolls of materials were finished at different lengths and the final result was longer than expected. (Of course that's even better for setting a new world record.)

The bride's father, a self-made tycoon, is the CEO of the Papago International Resort in Taitung, Taiwan. The proud father said that the wedding is a symbol of love, and he wanted to give the gift of love to his daughter and to Taiwan by setting the new world record. The veil is expected to be showcased at an exhibit to help promote local tourism.

The previous world record was set in 2014 with a 5-km long veil at the Perfect Wedding Show, held at the Expo Centre Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

According to some wedding experts, the veil is coming back as a new wedding trend, and it can come in all sorts of forms. What would you want as a wedding veil? Would you try to set a new world record?

Congratulations to the bride and groom!
