The 10 best and worst blond hairstyles on K-drama stars
Korean celebrities often try and push the limits of trendy hairstyles in both their dramas as well as in their other promotional activities. For better or for worse, going blond is a trend that keeps popping up in the Korean entertainment world. Take a look at these photos and let me know which ones you think are the best and the worst!
Oh Jeremy! You will always be my favorite blonde in Dramaland! His infectious charms coupled with this fun-loving hairstyle made for the perfect combination. The funny thing about his haircut though was that it was constantly changing throughout the show. First we had the adorable, straight blonde style that instantly stole my heart!
But then these ones suddenly appeared...
Whyyyyy? The semi bowl-cut bun look still baffles me to this day! But nevertheless, I still loved all the different Jeremy styles!
Verdict: Absolutely Unforgettable
Miss A's Suzy may not have gone blonde for an acting role, but she did try out a blonde hairstyle for a Bean Pole photo shoot! Doesn't she look lovely?
Verdict: Adorably Charming
Jaejoong used this blonde look as part of his promotions in 2013. Doesn't he look fantastic?
Also, you can't mention a blonde Jaejoong without bringing up his awesome anime-like hair from his DBSK days.
Verdict: Completely Mesmerizing
Krystal sure looks gorgeous with her long blonde locks.I think this look really suits her!
Verdict: The Perfect K-pop Princess
5. Infinite's L
L recently sported a blonde look for his role in My Lovable Girl. I was a big fan of his character, but I think this blonde style could have been executed even better. The blonde/brown mixture looks a little sloppy. That's not to say L doesn't look handsome though!
Verdict: The Perfect Look for a Teenage Boy in the '90s
IU had a brief Marilyn Monroe moment in her drama You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin. While cute, I much prefer this other blonde look from IU!
Verdict: Stay Away From Marilyn Monroe Wigs
Kim Hyun Joong's blonde look is another two-toned style. It's an intriguing cut, but the shaved sides don't really do it for me. He's had much better hairstyles in his other projects!
Verdict: Stick to The Basics
8. Lee Jong Suk
Lee Jong Suk's blond look was a short-lived style from the beginning of 2014. He decided he wanted to test out the color during a break between projects. It looks good, especially in the photo where he is lying down, but overall I still much more prefer him with either brown or black hair! I think it would take a very unique kind of character to get him to go back to blonde, and for now I don't foresee this color emerging anytime soon for Lee Jong Suk.
Verdict: A for Effort
I'm not too sure how I feel about Park Shin Hye as a blonde, but she still looks cute in these pictures for SURE. Honestly, I almost didn't recognize her!
Verdict: What's With The Disguise?
I absolutely love T.O.P with his blonde hair! I mean, he would look good with any hairstyle, but him as a blonde is one of my favorite looks of his!
Verdict: A Perfect 10
If you also love T.O.P in any look, check out his movie Tazza 2, premiering this weekend on DramaFever for Premium members in the United States and Canada! Check out the trailer below:
