Today marks the twentieth anniversary of the premiere of Pride and Prejudice on BBC. In honor of this historic milestone, I decided it's time for us drama lovers to catch up with some of the main cast members from the Jane Austen classic. Let's see what eleven of the stars are up to now.

1. Mr. Darcy - actor Colin Firth

Firth's acting career has become so successful he has won numerous awards worldwide, including an Academy Award, BAFTAs and a Volpi Cup. The 54-year-old star received the most recognition for his roles in the hit films The King's Speech and A Single Man. He has three children, and he has been married to Italian film producer and director Livia Firth since 1997.

2. Elizabeth Bennet - actress Jennifer Ehle

The 45-year-old actress stayed relevant on stage and screen by being a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company and accepting supporting roles in popular films like The King's Speech, Zero Dark Thirty, and Fifty Shades of Grey. The Tony Award and BAFTA winning actress, who wed writer Michael Ryan in 2001, is now a mother of two children. 

3. Jane Bennet - actress Susannah Harker

The BAFTA-nominated actress continues to act in a variety of TV series and films. Doctor Who: Shada, The Calling, and New Tricks are just a few of her more recent projects. She was married to Scottish actor Iain Glen for eleven years before they divorced in 2004. Harker, who is the mother of one child, starred in an Irish stage play, The Vortex, in 2014, and she joined the BBC Radio 4 production of John Gabriel Borkman this year. The 50-year-old veteran dated actor Paul McGann from 2006 to 2008.

4. Charles Bingley - actor Crispin Bonham-Carter

The 45-year-old star is now an actor and theater director. Some of the notable films he appeared in were Wuthering Heights, Bridget Jones's Diary, and Casino Royale. He is the third cousin of well-known actress Helena Bonham Carter. He married Katherine Julian Dawnay, and they have four children together. He teaches Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English at Alexandra Park School in North London.

5. Caroline Bingley - actress Anna Chancellor

Chancellor is probably best known for her role as Lady Anstruther in the hit PBS series Downton Abbey. The 50-year-old actress has quite the extensive resume on screen in other TV series and movies like Law and Order: UK, The Hour, What A Girl Wants, and Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London. After her five-year marriage to cinematographer Nigel Willoughby ended in divorce, she wed Redha Debbah in 2010. 

6. Charlotte Lucas - actress Lucy Scott

Scott has kept her career alive on stage and screen. Hearts and Bones and Rosemary & Thyme are just a couple of her TV series credits. The 44-year-old actress acted in the following notable theater productions: Emma, Search and Destroy, and Things We Do For Love. She is married to Cloud Atlas actor Alistair Petrie, and they have three children.

7. Mr. Wickham - actor Adrian Lukis

Lukis has been married to Michele Costa since 1985. The father of one child is a veteran to the TV series market. The 58-year-old actor secured roles in Doctors, Agatha Christie: Poirot, X Company, and many others.

8. Mr. Collins - actor David Bamber

The 60-year-old star's acting career is unstoppable onscreen with numerous well-known productions, namely The Bourne Identity, The King's Speech, and Doctor Who. He has been married to Julia Swift since 1982, and they have two children.

9. Mary Bennet - actress Lucy Briers

The 47-year-old actress has stuck mostly with live theater during the course of her career. She is known for many productions like Catch, Some Kind of Bliss, and Behud. She married Simon Cox in 1995.

10. Lydia Bennet - actress Julia Sawalha

The 46-year-old star rose to fame for her role as Saffron Monsoon in the TV series Absolutely Fabulous. She is the daughter of legendary actor Nadim Sawalha. Her resume contains a majority of TV series, including additional BBC shows Cranford and Lark Rise to Candleford.

11. Kitty Bennet - actress Polly Maberly

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art graduate continued to act in several TV series and plays. The 39-year-old actress made appearances in Doctors, Holby City, the 2005 stage production of When Harry Met Sally, and many more.
