Things on set of The Great Seer
have been anything but great over the past few weeks. Production on the drama was halted this past Saturday, December 8th, when the cast refused to continue shooting. The Korea Broadcast Actors Union issued a statement explaining that the drama, which began airing in October, has failed to pay its actors a dime since filming began. Without a paycheck, the actors were forced to walk off set, until some kind of deal can be struck. A rep with SBS stated that the three parties — the outside production company, SBS, and the union — are engaged in deep negotiations and that this issue won’t affect its broadcast schedule. Not to take sides on this one, but pay your actors, people.
Do you think the cast did the right thing in walking off set?
