style_newsWith a high-profile cast and a high budget, this tightly-written, funny take on Korea's fashion world was nicknamed "The Korean Devil Wears Prada". Ryu Shi Won, Hallyu star and popular ballad singer, and Lee Ji Ah, who shot to superstardom for her role in 2007's The Legend, head up Style, a comedy about a girl trying to survive in the cutthroat world of the fashion industry. Lee Seo Jung (Lee Ji Ah) has had it - with her perfectionist boss, her lack of promotion, and her position as lowly assistant to the senior editor of one of Korea's top fashion magazines. In a fit of frustration, she writes a resignation letter and leaves it at the office for her boss to find the the next day. The next morning, however, faced with an extremely expensive Prada bag in a store window, it dawns up on her that she needs the money, and she heads off to work, hoping to throw the letter away before her boss gets there. Unfortunately, her boss, tough-as-nails Park Ki Ja (Kim Hye Soo) arrives early to work, and soon Seo Jung finds herself in disgrace and assigned an impossible task: interview famed chef Seo Woo Jin (Ryu Shi Won), who refuses to be interviewed - or find herself another job. On the same day, Seo Jung's boyfriend dumps her after she catches him with another woman. Thus begins a rollercoaster ride through the ins and outs of the fashion business and the people in it as Woo Jin struggles to survive and advance herself, encouraged by prickly but kind-hearted Woo Jin. Satiric, comedic, and romantic, Style won successful ratings and held its own against competitors Friend, Our Legend and Iron Empress. Click here to watch Style on DramaFever!
