Have you ever seen tall stacks of instant noodle packages in Asian markets? Instant noodles are common snack for Koreans, and their presence has been growing among non-Asians as well. It’s easy to make instant noodles, but it’s hard to make the best instant noodles.
But don’t worry. The chief of noodle developer of Nongshim (the brand that produces Shin Ramyun) spoke up about the secret.
Here are some of his tips:
The most important thing in making Shin Ramyun is the amount of water you pour in. You need 550 ml of water. This is equivalent to 2 and ⅔ paper cups of water.
Once the water starts boiling, add all the other ingredients that come in the package and wait for another 4 minutes and 30 seconds. The boiling time for noodles might differ from 30 seconds to 1 minute depending on the type of noodles. So for this, you will have to look at the back of the ramyun package. Feel free to add scallion and eggs. If you want to add an egg, it has to be towards the end, not before.
Try and see if this works!
