Miki Asai is a Japanese photographer with an amazing eye for detail. Her incredibly intricate photographs highlight the tiniest characteristics of a world that we can barely see. Her works primarily focus on zooming in on nature and all of its elements. The pictures magnificently document raindrops, bugs and flowers with a focus on every detail.

The photographer uses a Canon EOS Kiss X5 (EOS Rebel T3i) and when asked about her work, Miki Asai remains in a constant state of awe, “I am always surprised when I look through the camera’s viewfinder to see things normally unseen,” she said. “Through a macro lens, I am trying to show the beautiful world of the small." And her advice to aspiring photographers is to always have patience.
