Chinese bacon is a delicious staple in many dishes and can normally be bought packaged at the market, but why buy it when you can make it in the comfort of your home? Just be warned that people may suspect of you of being a serial killer.

A major step in making Chinese bacon is the curing, or preserving, process. One Chinese resident took this to another level when he covered the bars of his balcony with bacon to cure by air-drying.

Whether this person is a butcher or a restaurant owner, the image of hanging meat covering the burglar bars of an apartment makes me think of something out of the movie Silence of the Lambs. I wonder if the laundry from the tenants next door smells like pork.
