The story of young lovers continues....You loved the "What happened to the young lovers in The Moon that Embraces the Sun" article, and here's more about the delightful young actors in the beloved historical romance. I couldn't cover them all in one article, so here's part 2 to find out what happened to the rest of the young cast.

1. Jin Ji Hee - Young Princess Min Hwa (Nam Bo Ra played the adult princess who married Heo Yeom.)

She played the young princess who fell in love with a young handsome scholar. She was so in love that she was willing to do anything to realize what she wanted. Her obsession in love was a great contrast to the everlasting bond between the main leads.

Jin Ji Hee is 15 now, so she was about 12 when she filmed in The Moon that Embraces the Sun, but she looked even younger in the show. Jin Ji Hee was already busy as a child actress and has continued with her acting career. She played the young Moon Geun Young in Goddess of Fire, and young Ha Ji Won in the movie The Huntresses. She'll become another royal princess in the upcoming 2015 movie, Sado. You can catch her now in Detectives of Seonam Girls' High School, a cute mystery drama about a group of high school girls.

2. Im Si Wan - young Heo Yeom (Song Jae Hee played the adult version who married Princess Min Hwa.)

He played the young and handsome scholar who attracted everyone's attention everywhere he went. He was essentially the Joseon-era idol. He was also the older brother to Heo Yeon Woo, the one true love for Crown Prince Lee Hwon (played by Yeo Jin Goo). Unfortunately, Princess Min Hwa loved him so much that she unwittingly participated in a conspiracy.

Surprisingly, Im Si Wan wasn't a child star like we would have thought. The youngish-looking actor is 26 now, and he played the 17-year-old Heo Yeom in 2012. He started his career in entertainment as a member of the boy band ZE:A. After The Moon that Embraces the Sun, he has been on a fast trajectory to become a leading man. In 2013, he won awards for his critically-acclaimed movie, The Attorney, which became the second-highest-grossing Korean film for that year. He then starred in two very popular dramas in 2014: Triangle and Misaeng. Next, he'll embark on his first tour of Asia, starting with Korea in March 2015 and then visiting Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He is definitely on a bright path to Hallyu stardom.

3. Nam Bo Ra - Princess Min Hwa and the king's (Kim Soo Hyun) younger sister.

I'm including the beautiful Nam Bo Ra in this article since she's actually younger than Im Si Wan. Princess Min Hwa wasn't an easy character to like despite her beauty and her love for her husband. Her happiness came from a selfish act, and the viewers' sympathy was naturally aligned with the main leads. However, Nam Bo Ra herself was very pretty in her hanbok gowns and gave a very appealing performance.

Nam Bo Ra is now 25 and has continued to hone her acting in dramas after The Moon that Embraces the Sun. DramaFever viewers can see her in the romance thriller drama Shark. She won an award for her portrayal of an unwed mother in the drama Only One. She is also starring in the 2015 drama My Heart Twinkle Twinkle.

4. Suh Ji Hee - young Seol (Yoon Seung Ah played the adult swordswoman who sacrificed to protect the one she loved.)

She was the loyal companion and servant to Yeon Woo (Kim Yoo Jung.) She also loved Yeon Woo's brother Heo Yeom from afar and would often secretly watch him practice martial arts. But as a servant girl, there was clearly a huge gap between them in the society with distinct classes. (This is one of the few characters that I wished for a different end.)

Suh Ji Hee is 16 years old now (and will be 17 on April 4.) She had already been in numerous productions before The Moon that Embraces the Sun, and she has continued to act. She will next co-star in Kim Hee Sun's new drama Angry Mom along with another Moon alumnus, Kim Yoo Jung.

I love watching dramas and feel grateful that I can write about a subject that I'm immersed in and in love with. It's also a real pleasure to write about The Moon that Embraces the Sun because I've watched it probably a dozen times. This drama is outstanding with its original story and creativity in that it doesn't follow an actual king's history, so it can give us very imaginative twists and turns and then a happy ending.
