When it comes to realistic drawings, it really doesn't get any more breathtaking than this. For roughly six years, Tokyo-based artist Ryota Hayashi has been perfecting his realistic drawings of everyday life in Japan, and his immaculate creations are finally getting the attention of netizens worldwide.

Ryota Hayashi graduated from Waseda University’s Art History Department, where he honed his colored pencil technique and skills. The artist currently lives in Nakano in Tokyo, which is where he draws most of his inspiration from.

I'm so impressed with the realistic tiny details in his drawings like the definition of the ripples in the water, the way the wind hits a dangling flag, and the elaborate, incredibly accurate shadows. It's no surprise that Ryota Hayashi was recently featured in Colored Pencil Magazine in America.
