The top 10 celebrity couples audiences want to see in K-drama
Who’s your favorite Korean celebrity couple? Wouldn’t you like to see them star together in a drama or hear from them on a talk show how they stay so cute together?
Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation shared two survey results last Monday on 10 real-life celebrity couples audiences wanted to see in dramas.
Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation asked over 6,000 TV audiences (43% male, 56% female) which real-life celebrity couple they’d like to see in dramas. They also asked why audiences wanted to see the specific celebrity couple, and in what genre of drama.

Yong Pal actress Kim Tae Hee and Rain are the tenth-most-wanted couple in K-drama. Kim Tae Hee and Rain met on set while filming a TV commercial. Occasional marriage rumors spread about them, probably because they've been dating over three years and are in their mid-thirties. However, Kim Tae Hee said she has no immediate plans for marriage.
Married for a decade, this sweet Han Ga In and Yeon Jung Hoon couple is the ninth-most-sought-after couple in K-dramas, according to the fans. They met on the set of the KBS1 daily drama Yellow Handkerchief and married in April 2005.
Movie stars Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young are the eighth-most-wanted couple in a drama. Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young met on set of the 1999 film Love Wind Love Song and married in 2010. They have a five-year-old boy named Jang Min Joon and a baby daughter who was born in February 2014. When Ko So Young is not filming, she volunteers for young single mothers in Korea.
7. Sean and Jung Hye Young (5.2%)
Hip hop duo Jinusean's Sean and actress Jung Hye Young are the seventh couple audiences wanted to see in a drama. Occasionally, Jung Hye Won narrates The Return of Superman episodes and Sean stars in them as he's friends with the Song triplets' dad, Song Il Kuk.

Actor Lee Seung Gi and Girls' Generation's Yoona are the sixth couple audiences wanted to see in a drama. However, the sad news of their breakup was recently confirmed by their agencies. Yoona has been busy with a drama in China in addition to Girls' Generation's new album, and Lee Seung Gi with his new album. Yoona and Lee Seung Gi dated for about a year and nine months, and Dispatch announced their relationship in January 2014.
Pretty Man actress So Yoo Jin and her chef CEO spouse Baek Jong Won ranked the fifth on the list of celebrity couples audiences want to see in a K-drama together. Audiences wanted to see them specifically in a romantic comedy drama or a sitcom. Audiences also said they wanted to see So Yoo Jin and Baek Jong Won on a drama because they're curious to see the couple's romantic chemistry.
So Yoo Jin and Baek Jong Won have a baby boy who was born in April 2014 and are expecting a second child this month!
Lee Min Ho and Suzy, who confirmed dating in March 2015, are the fourth-most-wanted couple! Fans said they'd like to see Lee Min Ho and Suzy in a romantic comedy or a melodrama because they'd look very cute together.
3. Yoo Jae Suk and Na Kyung Eun (7.0%)
Running Man's Yoo Jae Suk and his news reporter wife Na Kyung Eun placed third. Surveyed audiences wanted to see the couple in a romantic comedy drama or a sitcom because Yoo Jae Suk and Na Kyung Eun are their favorite celebrity couple.
Won Bin and Lee Na Young are the second-most-wanted couple for K-drama audiences. Audiences said they wanted to see this couple in a melodrama because Won Bin and Lee Na Young haven't filmed a drama in a long time.
With 42.5% of the votes, audiences picked Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young as the most wanted real-life celebrity couple in a drama. Audiences wanted to see them because they love the couple's chemistry (65%) and because of the couple's good acting skills (57%). Most audiences wanted to see Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young in a romantic comedy drama (40%).
Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young met while filming the 2004 drama Save The Last Dance for Me and married in 2013 after his romantic proposal in Spain. They welcomed their first child this summer. (Is Ji Sung your Korean celebrity sweetheart? Find out on this quiz!)
On a duplicate survey for 10 real-life celebrity couples audiences wanted to see on variety shows, they picked Yoo Jae Suk and Na Kyung Eun; So Yoo Jin and Baek Jong Won; and Won Bin and Lee Na Young in order of popularity. Audiences wanted to see the couples on talk shows and variety shows like Running Man and Infinity Challenge because the couples are "witty," "issue makers," "not on TV a lot," and "so romantic together."
