Two teddy bear museums, one in Izu Peninsula and one in Shizuoka, are known for exhibiting teddy bears from all over the world. And until next spring, they will have an ongoing exhibit of Totoro to join the cuddly bears!

Both of the teddy bear museums are located in the woods, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The teddy bears exhibited aren't just any teddy bears. They are from all over the world, from valuable antiques to unique ones made by renowned artists. A teddy bear stands by the entrance to welcome visitors as they step into another world, one of warmth, love and a whole lot of cuddliness. Visitors can see a teddy bear wedding taking place, and teddy bears enjoying a ride on the merry-go-round.

And as if that weren't enough, the museum is now also home to a Totoro exhibit. The exhibits are intended for both children and adults, and Studio Gibli fans especially are in for a real treat. Large stuffed Totoros and others are exhibited alongside miniature models of famous scenes and a re-creation of a setting in the movie that you can take a photo of yourself in. After you're done, it's off to the cafe and souvenir shop. It's Totoro World and Teddy Bear World in the quiet woods.

These exhibits aren't even separated. The teddy bears are all over Totoro.
