In the first episode, the scene opens with Jang Tae San (Lee Jun Ki) getting into an accident. Jang Tae San goes from one night club and pawn shop to another, living the life of a gangster. Then, Seo In Hye (Park Hae Sun) shows up out of nowhere and confessed that they had a child together. She then pleads with him to get a blood test, because the daughter has acute leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant.
Hearing this, Jang Tae San says, “You gave birth to a child?” but agrees to give his daughter a bone marrow transplant. However, on the day of the surgery, Jang Tae San gets entangled in Moon Il Seok’s (Jo Min Ki) murder case, the latter having planned it so that it looked as if Jang Tae San killed Oh Mi Sook (Lim Sae Mi).
