Upcoming Cheese in the Trap film to hold public auditions for female lead
Fans of Cheese in the Trap were ecstatic to hear that the popular drama is to have a film adaptation, but to add even more to this excitement, it has recently been announced that the search has begun for the the perfect female lead to star opposite Park Hae Jin (Doctor Stranger)! However, to find this actress, the cooperating production companies in charge of the upcoming Korean-Chinese movie have decided to look to the public.
On July 22, representatives of the Korean-Chinese production teams announced that they will be holding open auditions for the role of Hong Seol, which was previously played by Kim Go Eun, for the Cheese in the Trap film. The first round of the application process will be taking place from August 1-5 in both China and Korea. However, despite being open to the public, applicants are currently limited to those who have acted in the past or are presently working as actors.
The lucky girl who gets the role will act opposite Park Hae Jin, who will once again be starring as Yoo Jung in the upcoming film, along with the unnamed actor who will play Baek In Ho. Reportedly, the actor who is filling the role of the second male lead has been decided and is currently finalizing his contract with the production team. However, it has been confirmed that it will not be Seo Kang Joon (After School: Lucky or Not), who was Baek In Ho in the previous adaptation.
Filming for the Cheese in the Trap movie will begin early next year, but hopefully, we will not have to wait as long to see who the next Hong Seol will be. It is sure to be an amazing film and we hope you anticipate it's release.
