Watch the absolutely weirdest Bruce Lee movie of all time
A question for Bruce Lee fans: In which movie does Lee fight Dracula, James Bond, Clint Eastwood, "The Godfather," "The Exorcist," Laurel and Hardy, and French erotic film icon Emanuelle alongside his best friend Popeye the Sailor – all in the pits of hell? That would be The Dragon Lives Again, the most insane movie ever associated with the martial arts legend.
The Dragon Lives Again (1977) belongs to a subgenre of action films known as Bruceploitation, made to capitalize on the popularity of Bruce Lee... without actually having Bruce Lee perform. Since Lives Again was made after the death of the actual Lee, "Bruce Lee" is played by martial arts legend Bruce Leung Siu-lung. More precisely, he plays the ghost of Lee in the "Underworld." After annoying the King of the Underworld, Lee chills out in a restaurant where he meets pop culture figures dead and alive, including not only Dracula and James Bond, but also Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman and Kwai Chang Caine from the old TV show Kung Fu. But the only person in hell who "Bruce Lee" actually gets along with is Popeye the Sailor, who teams up with Bruce for a spinach-powered series of battles.
