In the next episode of The Simpsons, the legendary animated show pays tribute to another iconic illustrator, Hayao Miyazaki who recently announced his retirement from the world of film and Studio Ghibli. In the moving tribute, the cartoon brings in several of the major characters from Hayao Miyazaki's hit movies. Luckily, the Fox network has posted the roughly one-and-a-half minute clip of the tribute, and it features characters from Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, among many more.

Many of The Simpsons characters are molded to play the various popular figures from Hayao Miyazaki's films. also took the time to annotate the clip and point out all of the references to the legendary animator's films. Check out the beautiful and moving clip!
